Legislatures Wants Training on Usage of 'Tablets'

Surprisingly,  state  MLAs and MLCs made an ‘unusual’ request to the Assembly Speaker N Manohar to provide training classes on how to operate the  tablets ( Sony xperia Z tablet phones)  gifted to the Legislatures by the government on the last day of the  budget  session recently .

After receiving the high phones ( worth Rs 49,000 each) many of the MLAs and MLCs called the Speaker on phone and told him that they were not familiar with the new technology and hence organize a  training class for them.  However,  the Speaker  declined  to accept the request.

It was not new that Legislature got the electronic gadgets as gifts. In 2011,  Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy presented laptops to all members .  Initially , some of the legislatures carried the  laptops along with them and also used for official purpose.  Now,  the hand held gadget was not seen at any body.
