Another former-leader, K.K.Mahender Reddy exploded another bomb aiming the TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao on Saturday.
Mahender Reddy was very close to KCR, he was with TRS during the formative days and contested independently after developing differences with KCR when he denied Siricilla ticket to him and gave it to his son K T Rama Rao.
Mahender Reddy said that KCR offered him Rs. 10 crore and a Parliament seat when he contested as an independent in the 2009 elections against his son KTR. He said KCR called him and personally offered Rs. 10 crore to withdraw from the Sircilla contest and ensure the victory of his son. He said KCR also offered Parliament seat to him, however he rejected the offer and contested as independent against KTR.
Mahender Reddy has contested the 2009 election as an independent and narrowly lost to Taraka Rama Rao. While Mahender Reddy polled 36,612 votes, TRS candidate K T Rama Rao has polled 36,783 votes and won the seat. Mahender succeeded in making both KCR and his son sweat.
Talking to a TV channel on Saturday, Mahender Reddy said KCR never stood on his word. He said when the party was launched on a small scale, KCR told everyone that it would not be a family party and his children who were in USA then, would not join politics. "We believed him and lost our properties, for strengthening the TRS. He brought his son, nephew and in the next elections even planning to send his daughter to Parliament", Mahender Reddy said.
