Akshay Kumar to remake Oosaravelli

Although Jr NTR’s ‘Oosaravelli’ did not do much good to the young actor’s career and neither made any impact at the box office when released  in a couple of years back, it looks like the movie has found takers in Bollywood. According to the latest reports, Akshay Kumar is said to be keen to portray NTR’s role in the film.

It seems that the actor is attracted to the hero’s characterization in the film, and asked Endemol, which is in contract with Akshay, to produce the film. It is known that the production house has already approached the producer BVSN Prasad, and he has agreed to give them the remake rights. The original had Tamannaah as the female lead opposite NTR but it not yet known whether she would be part of the Hindi version also.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has also bought the rights of another Telugu film ‘Prayana’ by Chandrasekhar Yeleti. But he would not be part of this film but would just produce the film with young actors.
