Priyaka Dutt Invited For Cannes Festival

Producer Ashwini Dutt's daughter Priyanka Dutt has been invited for the Cannes Film Festival. She was selected in the category 'The Short Film Corner' and deserves a big applause for winning the tough competition which received entries from over hundred countries.


'Yaadon Ki Baraat' , the short film made by Priyanka Dutt, tells about the tale of a young RD Burman fan. It is the story of child who is disturbed by the frequent argument between his parents and starts singing the chartbuster songs of RD Burman to pacify the two adults. This short film is being directed by Naga Ashwin.  

Priyanka Dutt feels it's a great honour for her production house to get selected in the highly competitive category. "Cannes is the Mecca for filmmakers. I always dream of visiting it, not just as a fan but as a filmmaker," told the young producer, who produced feature films like Baanam, Om Shanti and Sir Ocharu.

Cannes Film Festival begins from May 15th this year and the winners will be announced at the closing ceremony on 26th May.Wishing Good luck.
